Event Description:
In our new WAIE+ series – AI & Africa, Emsie Erastus interviews Africans working in the AI and emerging tech landscape. On last Tuesdays, Emsie will introduce you to Africa’s tech finest and bring to the forefront Africans who are working to innovate and shape the global geopolitical landscape. In July, we are laying the foundation, starting with development within the policy sector. This is not just your typical show; it seeks to challenge and change the narrative that Africa is not doing much… well, we are!
For our first AI & Africa segment on Tuesday, July 29 we start off with a timely discussion on AI, Data and ethics in Africa. We have invited Loise Mwarangu, who uses data to cultivate dignity, from farmers' fields to hospital corridors. She’s mentoring the next generation, speaking on ethics at the UN, and proving that Africa isn’t behind in its approach to building differently.
