Code of Conduct & Editorial Guidelines


WAIE+ is a community dedicated to advancing ethical, inclusive, and responsible AI, with a focus on supporting women and underrepresented voices in AI ethics.

By participating in WAIE+, all members agree to uphold the following standards:

1. Respectful and Inclusive Behavior

Members must treat all participants with respect, professionalism, and dignity.
Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or background will not be tolerated.

2. Zero Tolerance for Harmful Conduct

We strictly prohibit:

  • Hate speech

  • Harassment or bullying

  • Abusive, threatening, or intimidating behavior

  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct


3. Responsible Use of AI and Content

Members are expected to:

  • Share accurate, evidence-based information

  • Avoid spreading misinformation or harmful AI practices

  • Respect intellectual property and proper attribution


4. Professional Integrity

Members should:

  • Engage in constructive discussions

  • Avoid disruptive, spammy, or self-promotional behavior

  • Contribute meaningfully to the community


5. No Political Lobbying

WAIE+ is a neutral platform. Members may not use the community for political campaigning, lobbying, or promoting political agendas.

6. Community Safety and Moderation

WAIE+ reserves the right to:

  • Remove content that violates these guidelines

  • Suspend or terminate memberships without notice

  • Restrict access to any user at our sole discretion


7. Reporting Violations

Members are encouraged to report any violations. All reports will be handled confidentially and reviewed promptly.

8. Enforcement

Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Warnings

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent removal from the platform

WAIE+ maintains a zero-tolerance policy for serious violations.


9. Privacy & Confidentiality

WAIE+ respects the privacy of its members. We do not sell personal information to third parties. Members should also respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing private conversations, personal information, or event content without appropriate permission.

10. Online and Event Participation

These guidelines apply to all WAIE+ spaces, including events, webinars, online communities, social media channels, forums, and messaging platforms. Members are expected to maintain the same standards of conduct across all community interactions.

11. Commitment to Inclusion

WAIE+ is committed to supporting women and underrepresented communities in AI, including non-binary individuals and allies who are committed to advancing ethical and inclusive AI. We strive to create an environment where all participants feel welcomed, respected, and valued.

12. Respectful Communication

Members should avoid making assumptions about another person's identity, background, or experiences. We encourage the use of inclusive language and respectful communication practices that help create a welcoming environment for all participants.
